Privacy policy
This policy explains how 16171052 Canada Inc., operating as Sixth Line Works, handles personal information. It is a draft written for review by a lawyer.
What we collect
- Business contact information that businesses publish themselves (for example on their own website's contact page), with the page address and the date we saw it, so we can show why we contacted them.
- What you send us by email, and the emails we send you.
- For customers: billing details handled by our payment processor, and the areas and trades you choose.
- Unsubscribe requests: the address, and when and how it was made.
- From public permit records: the property address, permit type, work description, date and declared value of each permit, which our lead sheets list for customers.
Public records
Our services are built from records that municipalities and other bodies publish. We keep only what a service needs and leave out names of private individuals. [For legal review: whether listing property addresses from permit records for customers, and any mailing to them, is permitted; the open-data licence terms of each source.]
How we use it
To offer and provide our services, to answer you, to bill customers, and to honour unsubscribe requests. [For legal review: how to describe the customer lead sheets that list permit property addresses.]
Unsubscribing and withdrawing consent
Every email from us has an unsubscribe link and you can also reply "unsubscribe". Requests made through the link take effect within an hour, and every request within 10 business days at the latest. We keep the address on a do-not-email list, and a record of the request, so we do not contact it again. [For legal review: other ways to withdraw consent.]
Service providers and where data is stored
We use service providers for email delivery, website hosting and unsubscribe handling (Cloudflare), payments (Stripe), and software tools that draft and check text (Anthropic). Some of them store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be accessible to authorities under local law. [For legal review: full list of providers and locations; whether inbound emails processed by these tools need a specific statement.]
Keeping information
[For legal review: retention periods for prospect records, emails and customer records. Unsubscribe records are kept as long as needed to honour them.]
Who is accountable
[For legal review: the person accountable for privacy at 16171052 Canada Inc. and how to reach them.]
